Day 1: 

Morning Session 

09:00 - 09:30 | Registration and Welcome Coffee 

09:30 - 10:00 | Opening Address: Introduction and objectives of the event. 

10:00 - 11:30 | Workshop with Jessica Pidoux from PersonalData.IO and University of Neuchâtel: “Surveillance at Work: Are You Being Tracked?" An interactive session on app tracking with a focus on AI in gig work platforms. Participants are encouraged to bring their data for a hands-on analysis. 

11:30 – 11:45 | Coffee break 

11:45 – 12:00 | Q&A with Jessica Pidoux 

12:00 - 14:00 | Lunch Break (Extended to 2 hours for networking opportunities) 

 

Afternoon Session 

14:00 - 15:15 | Expert Panel: Regulatory Frameworks and Worker Protection: Discussion on existing and upcoming laws affecting AI and labor rights.

15:30 - 16:45 | Residency: Afternoon with Jessica Pidoux: An open session for workers who couldn't attend the morning workshop. Jessica will assist in accessing their data in real-time, bypassing GDPR requests. 

Parallel Workshop: 15:30 - 16:45 | Engaging Trade Unions in the AI Debate: A workshop for trade union representatives from across Europe to discuss strategies for integrating AI awareness and data rights into union work. 

17:00 - 17:30 | Day 1 Wrap-up and Call to Action: Reflections, lessons learned, and a call to gather more worker experiences for future research. 

 

Evening Social Event 

18:00 - 20:00 | Samobor: An informal gathering at a popular café in Samobor for networking and sharing insights.

09:30 - 11:00 | Masterclass: "Negotiating with Data": Enhance negotiation skills in an AI-driven workplace, with an emphasis on using data as leverage. 

11:00 – 11:15 | Coffee break 

11:15 - 12:45 | Keynote Speech by PersonalData.io: "Benefits and pitfalls of EU platform work directive in relation to data and algorithms" + 15-minute Q&A This talk delves into how data protection, mutualization, and valorization play crucial roles in deciphering algorithmic management at work and fostering union-based collective power, particularly in the context of platform work practices, under the framework of the European Union's new directive approved. 

12:45 - 14:45 | Lunch Break (Extended to 2 hours for networking opportunities) 

 

Afternoon Session 

15:00 - 17:00 | Zagreb Visit: A guided tour exploring the historical and cultural highlights of Zagreb, offering participants a chance to discover the city's rich heritage.
